New Legends
A full review of the only game on Ferrago to be described as effluence.
The main fault with this title, however, lays within. The game is riddled with glitches, bugs and faults. I think that the playtesters may have been off the day New Legends came through. It’s truly awful to think a game can have this many bugs in this day and age. Let me run through a few for you… 1) An archer falls off a platform and continues to shower me with arrows from mid air, unreachable by the player. 2) My in-game partner falls down a cliff, then springs back up again, then falls down, then springs up, etc. it went on until I completed the mission on my own. 3) I go slightly off track and stumble across a group of enemies, I shoot at them, hack at them and yet they still do not move! That’s discipline for you…4) The most annoying of all, complete the fourth mission (I think) and if you are standing in the wrong place, which is easily done, a huge truck lands on you and crushes you, causing you to restart! All of these bugs and many more await within New Legends!

The game itself plays reasonably well for the first five minutes, until you realise that you are going to be hacking your way through all of these very similar enemies for the entire game. Hack, kill, slash, die, shoot, maim, die. It’s all very repetitive, but not very exciting. To see how a game like this should be done, look at (yet again) Genma Onimusha. The controls work well enough, until the camera flies off or you fall into a glitch. It’s just so poor that it irritates me something chronic…
So then, I’m going to be harsh here. The game may have it’s fans who like hack and slash style affairs, poor graphics and glitches, but I don’t. If I see any more games with glitches and poor quality control such as this ever again, I will personally find the developers, staple their eyes open and make them play the game until they are truly sorry. You have been warned.
