Producer forms studio, promises 'major' movie-based games
300 movie maker enters gaming
GameSpot are this evening reporting that the producer of movie '300' is hard at work plunging his fingers into fresh pies, with a newspaper report purporting to reveal that Thomas Tull is on the verge of launching a new game developer that will focus on film licenses.
Tull's 300 has taken in excess of 162 million USD at the box office stateside, so it's little wonder that the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports that the Legendary Pictures CEO has succeeded in raising 150 million for his new gaming venture, said to be called Brash Entertainment.
Tull will apparently partner with entrepreneur Bert Ellis on the gaming start-up, the internet millionaire who already owns music label Brash Music. Games created will be based on "major movie, book, and music titles", with the Chronicle report revealing that six projects are already in the works - the first being a game based on '300' (a separate title from the earlier PSP outing).
For his part, Ellis promises games based on "brands you'll know," while Legendary Entertainment have in the past been linked to a World of Warcraft movie. We'll bring you the latest on the apparently significant future of Brash Entertainment as we learn more.
