Australia gets pink PS2
SCEA hope to encourage female gamers
In a bid to 'cater' for more female gamers, Sony Computer Entertainment Australia have today announced that they will launch a pink PS2 console down-under. The colourful new system will be out on March 15th, and will cost 249.95 AUD.

The system, which will come alongside two pink controllers and a pink memory card, was released in the UK last year, extending the shelf-life of the aging console with the PS3 fast approaching.
"Games such as SingStar have really heightened the appeal of the PlayStation 2 for a whole new diverse audience, who may not previously have considered themselves gamers," SCEA director of marketing Raoul Bedford commented.
