Xbox Live was down for three hours this morning, for a spot of that maintenance occasionally likes to spring upon us. The service was down until about 1pm GMT, though there aren't any exciting new features in the offing - sadly.

Instead, Live secret agent simply states: "there will be no new features that will appear on Xbox.com, your dashboard or when we return to service". Boo-hiss! The My Xbox section of Xbox.com was also down, while the forums were read-only.

In Live-related news, we also learn that there won't be a new game tomorrow, despite the fact that Wednesday is once again upon us. "We learned today that there won't be an Xbox Live Arcade game released this Wednesday. We know there are a few titles that we're all really looking forward to, but game remains as much an art as a science," read an update on the Xbox Live team-published Gamerscoreblog.

"I know that everyone's working hard to bring out the titles we've announced as soon as we can."

Worms is looking rather close to release now, and games like Luxor 2 and Band of Bugs are due in coming weeks - though nothing for tomorrow, we're sad to report.
