Wii Guitar Hero glimpsed
Activision financial news reveals Ninty plans
If ever a platform and a gaming series were well-matched, it must surely be the various innovations of Guitar Hero and the Nintendo Wii console. An Activision conference call yesterday seems to have let the cat of the bag, revealing that the series is bound not just for the Wii but quite possibly the DS too.
Speaking of better-supporting Nintendo's consoles during the 2008 financial year, Activision CEO Mike Griffith dropped a hint that the series is on the way, in addition to the other major Activision IPs.
"In fiscal 2008, we'll double our offerings on DS and the Wii," said Griffith, "including Spiderman, Shrek, Transformers, and Guitar Hero."
No further details were forthcoming, so names and dates are a no no at present, that said, our appetites are already whetted as to how the innovative rhythm game will be integrated with these most 'interactive' of gaming platforms.
NeverSoft could well be in charge of development, but once again, Acti are keeping us in the dark for now. More soon, then.
