Spore and My Sims DS-bound
Dual-screen Sporing planned
The innovative Spore will be released on the Nintendo DS, EA have today revealed, also confirming that the Wii edition of the Sims will make it onto the handheld platform too.
A handheld version of Will Wright's new opus has been rumoured for some time, prompted by EA job listings purporting to reveal positions on a 'handheld' project, though it was never clear whether the title was en route to the DS or PSP. It's the DS, we today learn, that is to get a special version of the new game from the creator of The Sims.
EA announced the new platform to investors today, Grand fromage Warren Jenson stating that "[with] Spore, we will be not only focusing on the PC and online; we are launching this innovative experience on the NDS." A release before the end of March 2008 is on the cards.
The Wii version of Sims, My Sims, will hit the DS during the same period and we're told to expect the same cartoon-like visuals as offered by the forthcoming Wii edition. More on these games as we get it.
