Game On gets new consoles
Wii and PS3 enter exhibition
Not content with offering us a snapshot of the games industry's evolution in exhibition form, Game On will now provide those attending the event with a view of the future too, with the inclusion of the Wii and PlayStation 3 from this Wednesday. The Science Museum event already includes the Xbox 360, and examples of pretty much every system before it, not to mention some 120 playable games.
The November 29th revision should certainly add a new element of excitement to an event which has received mixed reviews - giving many Europeans their first taster of the PS3 - and for some the Wii. "The Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii will all be in Game On, plugged in and ready to play. Visitors can experience the graphics, interactivity and intensity that are to form the next stage of gaming’s technological and cultural development," commented programme developer (is that what we call curator these days?) Gaetan Lee.
Game On will be in residence at the Science Museum in London until February 25th, tickets cost 8.50 GBP for grown-ups and 6.50 GBP for younglets. More soon.
