360 nabs former PS3 exclusives
Fatal Inertia and Bladestorm snatched
Having used their vast resources and slow decision making at Sony to snatch former PS3 exclusives Assassin's Creed and GTA IV for the Xbox 360, Microsoft has today also landed Fatal Inertia and Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War. The Koei titles were, as with the previous titles, originally envisaged as PS3 only games, but will now be released on the Xbox 360 as well as Sony's next-gen platform.
Fatal Inertia is being created by Koei Canada under the watchful eye of Dynasty Warriors creator Takazumi Tomoike. An octane-fueled mix of racing and demolition derby is promised. Bladestorm meanwhile is set in 14th century Europe, offering real-time strategy as you take charge of a mercenary leader. The games will be out alongside the PS3 in Europe (hopefully next March), though it is presently unclear when they will reach the 360.
Whilst not as significant as the GTA IV and Assassin's Creed losses revealed by Newsweek's N'Gai Croal, this news still demonstrates that Sony are losing out through Microsoft's efforts and perhaps their own tardiness. More as we get it.
