PSone classics out for PSP today
Via Japanese PlayStation store...
As you may have read in our news earlier today (or yesterday, depending on your time zone), the version 3.0 update for the PSP handheld enables all kinds of retrograde transferring, putting PSone titles from the Japanese PlayStation store onto the new handheld. Providing you're one of the three people owning a PS3, that is.
More details have now emerged about what is available from the PlayStation store, with several games promised to hit the service today. Each game will cost 525 yen in Japanese moneys, which is roughly 5 USD or 2.50 GBP, by my lazy calculations. Resident Evil Director's Cut, Konami's Antiques MSX Collection (x2), Bishi Bashi Special, Arc the Lad, Jumping Flash, Hot Shots Golf 2, Silent Bomber and Tekken 2 are all mooted for release.
Once purchased, the games can be easily added to the PSP, though you can't play them on the PS3 at present... this feature will be added to the console in 2007, we're reliably informed.
