Man shot in US PS3 queue
Whilst another is virtually 'mugged' on eBay
The number of stories surrounding the just-launched PlayStation 3 console continue to ramp up, with news ranging from the amusing to the downright horrifying. The first is this. Word of a man who seems blissfully ignorant to the fact he has just paid 900 USD for three PlayStation consoles, as opposed to a full PlayStation 3 system. Read the small print guys, please.
If that story might be resolved by a complaint to eBay, the naughty seller should perhaps be commended for his pluck, if not his morals. Not all the news is so cheeky however, with word from Putnam, Connecticut, revealing that a man was shot while queuing for a PS3 outside his local Wal-Mart at 3am. Apparently, two teenagers with guns demanded cash from the 15-20 people waiting outside the store, and the man in question was shot when he resisted. The man is now in hospital and his condition is unknown.
Other stories are also circulating online, speaking of fights in the queues for the PS3, as well as muggings outside stores, and as Stevie reported last week - a drive-by shooting conducted with a BB gun. More on this as we get it.
