As the 'X0' series of events go, this was probably the biggest and most significant by some margin - given the amount of virtual column inches we're still continuing to devote to it. Here's more, this time concerning the Live Arcade. Not only was a port of id Software's launched late last night on the game downloads service, but several fairly significant new titles have also been confirmed as en route.

We did of course learn yesterday of Sensible World of Soccer's Q1 2007 release, courtesy of Codemasters, but we know learn - through closer inspection of Microsoft's ancillary press releases - that Assault Heroes from Vivendi, Mutant Storm Empire from PomPom, and Street Trace: NYC from Gaia Industries are also heading to the burgeoning game distribution service.

Apparently the majority of these games should be available before the end of the year, in addition to previously announced titles such as 3, Defender and Lumines - which designer Tetsuya Mizuguchi reckons will be available from mid-October. More as we get it.
