Eidos unveil Crossfire at X06
Two-person shooter, for Vista and Xb360
Despite dropping several noteworthy Xbox 360 bombshells at the opening of X06 in Barcelona, Microsoft haven't contented themselves with console prowess, also opting to push their Windows Vista platform at the event too. Eidos and Pivotal Games were duly on-hand to lift the lid on Crossfire, a new shooter being created for the Xbox 360 and Vista.
The two-player co-operative first-person shooter is due out in 2007, and from what we can gather you'll be able to play as either both central characters or team-up with a pal. In the new game you'll take in South America, Siberia and Africa, switching between your two charges, or playing co-operatively, in order to outsmart enemies.
Our two heroes are apparently US agents, working as 'deniable operatives', and it all sounds a bit Jason Bourne, with the stars of the show bearing no identity, no objects, papers or clothing that could associate them in any way with their employer. The official site is here. Delightful.
