PS3 gets Ninja Gaiden, RR7 too
Thank you, Famitsu...
Those cunning translators over at 1UP.com have been pouring over the latest issue of Japan's alway-newsworthy Famitsu magazine, and have today revealed that a new version of Ninja Gaiden is en route to the PlayStation 3 console. Most recently a critical darling on the Xbox, the new title will be known as Ninja Gaiden Sigma on the PS3, with Team Ninja behind the project.
Xbox fans need not feel too jealous, however, because Team Ninja have revealed that the new title will be predominantly based on Ninja Gaiden Black anyway. Whilst the PS3 is now on the studio's agenda then, the firm remains a staunch ally of Microsoft, and is currently crafting a new Dead or Alive outing for the Xbox 360. A full sequel to Ninja Gaiden has even been tantalisingly rumoured...
In other Famitsu-related news, this time spotted by IGN, we also learn that the PS3's launch window will be given a boost in Japan by the news that Ridge Racer 7 will be out on the new console. IGN also note other major titles hitting the system from day one, such as Genji 2, 'Sega Golf Club', Gundam: Target in Sight and Mahjong Fight Club. The console will hit Japan on November 11th.
