A new report on games site Eurogamer.net reveals a little about what and designer have planned for new title Super Galaxy. Miyamoto told MTV.com of how the new controller will be utilised in the new game, and that the game will centre on "having different spheres or planets Mario can visit, with the idea being if the planet gets very, very large the scenery will look more like he's running across a plain.

"But if the planet is very small it looks almost like he's running around a ball. You can essentially run over the spheres almost endlessly," the designer added.

MTV were told that whilst the game will be presented in full 3D, it will still negate the camera problems of certain full titles. "What that allows us to do is take a game like Mario that has been a very jump-based game in the past, and turn it into a game that is more [about] Mario running around a lot and going to different places and kind of enjoying that."

The new controller will offer Mario Galaxy a fresh and intuitive interface, wherein you can select actions and interact with the game world more simply and in new ways. We'll keep you posted as Ninty let-slip more details.
