Bungie test multiplayer Halo 3
Talks HiDef, too...
Those big teases over at Bungie have been speaking of their progress on Halo 3 in this week's official website update. Indeed, the developer are already testing the new game's multiplayer portion, suggesting that development has progressed somewhat further than we might have predicted. "Lars, one of the new(er) multiplayer designers, has a regular multiplayer test in session now - that happens every day - and with surprisingly polished-looking graphics, although I'm told a lot of the textures and decorator objects are just placeholder at the moment. Could have fooled me," reads the new update.
As well as Bungie already working hard to polish the multiplayer mode, the update informs us that the team are also looking to ensure Halo 3 looks ace on traditional television sets, not just high-definition sets, with the developers using both for testing. Which is promising if you have a high-definition model too, of course.
Naturally, "there is always a crazy rush to get to the sets that are HD during those sessions," the update continues, on the topic of the multiplayer test sessions. More on this as we get it.
