Metroid 3 for Wii launch
Wii gets new Samus
More show-stealing shenanigans from Nintendo now, as we learn that Metroid 3 will be a Wii launch title, and that the game will take full advantage of the console's unique motion sensing technology.
The game is being developed by Retro Studios, and we already know that numero three will see the return of the X-ray visor complete with a ray beam for blasting hidden enemies behind walls. More new toys for Samus in the shape of a brand new gunship for moving across larger environments, and we hear chatter that in certain instances you might use the ship via remote control, to solve certain puzzles.
Plenty of new visual tricks will also mark Samus' return, and the WiiConnect24 service should also be utilised to deliver upgrades and new content to the game. We'll keep you posted on this potentially crucial new game.
