As the begins to mature, have unveiled plans to cut the price of the groundbreaking handheld system across the globe, as well as unveiling new features with which they hope to boost popularity. In the system will be cut to 199 Euros, in America 199 USD, and in 19,800 Yen. March 22nd will see the new Eurozone pricing come into effect, whilst Japanese gamers will have to wait until April 15th.

At a press conference announcing the new pricing, Sony chief Ken Kutaragi also revealed that a emulator is en route, which will enable the PSP to store games purchased via the net on the Memory Stick. Sony will also let-rip an EyeToyesque video camera peripheral in September, whilst a video voice-over-IP service will launch in October.

Continuing to reveal the updates looming on the handheld, Kutaragi promised Flash support this spring, with a network update also covering RSS feeds, aimed at podcasts and the like. Sony weren't drawn into revealing several rumoured features like email, but did reveal that a GPS attachment is coming in the autumn for use in specific titles (Hot Shots was mooted).

More on the PSP as we get it, hopefully when we'll be able to deliver word of the long-speculated dish-washing extra.
