Investigation widens into Eriksson crash
Magazines, cars and more besides
Eurogamer.net reveal this week that the case surrounding an ex-Gizmondo chief's Ferrari crash in Malibu has widened, after a gun magazine near the accident was linked to the case by American police. Police are currently seeking another man to question in relation to the incident, according to the LA Times, possibly the mysterious Dietrich, whom Stefan Erikkson said was driving at the time of the crash.
Further investigations have also concluded that the Ferrari Enzo was probably travelling at 162mph prior to the collision with an electricity pylon, and investigators suggest the Ferrari must literally have taken-off upon hitting a bump in the road. Police have told reporters that Eriksson had imported two Enzos into the USA and a Mercedes SLR, but that he did not possess the correct papers for the vehicles.
LAPD's Phil Brooks told the LA Times that the Royal Bank of Scotland may have been the real owners of the Ferrari Enzo anyway, and that the SLR had been reported stolen in London. More on this as we get it.
