Take-Two's ongoing woes deepened today as it was announced that a group of shareholders plan to sue the company over the Hot Coffee scandal. Two lawsuits have been filed against the company by separate groups of shareholders, both of which claim they have been left out of pocket by the controversies that have dogged the publisher.

Hidden sexual content in San Andreas was revealed by the infamous Hot Coffee patch last year, provoking a raised age-rating from censors and the dropping of the game from several major retailers. then released a version of the game minus the naughty content, but the damage had already been done by then. Several politicians have spoken out against the game since this controversy, and a is ongoing in California, an attorney alleging Take-Two hid the content in order to win a lower rating.

Two New York law firms are representing shareholders who acquired shares between the release of San Andreas and the advent of the Californian lawsuit. Take-Two won't comment on the lawsuit, but the embattled firm has lost share value amid the furore.
