The much publicised problems at Infinium Labs appear to have deepened today, a new report from games site GameSpot.com revealing that former bigwig Kevin Bachus has departed his role as CEO of Infinium. The boss apparently left to 'pursue other interests', and Infinium consultant Greg Koler has been appointed interim CEO in the meantime. Bachus' extensive experience had for a long time been a major boost to Infinium's otherwise troubled profile. The company has been striving to deliver their broadband-only console the to market for nearly two years, but the launch has been beset with delays and financial problems at the stock market listed manufacturer. Could the departure of Bachus finally signal the end of Infinium's efforts?

"I'd like to thank Kevin for his past support and wish him well with his future endeavors," Koler commented in an official statement. "A lot of that support has helped put our operational planning on track and has helped create awareness for the company in the industry." Koler also boasts an impressive CV, having worked for companies including Entertainment in the past.

Bachus' departure is the latest in a couple of recent management departures at Infinium, but the former CEO has yet to comment. More as we get it.
