Despite the usual fanfare with which lawyer Jack Thompson likes to announce his activities, it almost passed our attention that the controversial anti-gaming lawyer has released a novel. Titled 'Out of Harm's Way', the partly-autobiographical book can be had from Amazon even now... though has only garnered a one-star review, thus far. The cover announces the subject matter succinctly: "One man's relentless crusade to topple media giants and save your children from videogame madness." Indeed, we get the distinct impression the book could well read something like an epic Thompson press release. We'll buy a copy and let you know. Maybe.

"Going beyond outrage, Thompson chronicles his own spiritual journey from bystander to activist and offers the sociological, medical, scientific, and evidence that will motivate all Americans - especially parents - to get involved," reads the back cover. The fact that the book is wallowing in the lower-echelons of the Amazon chart, and the fact that no one seems to be paying the book much heed, may perhaps mean that it isn't having the emotive effect intended just yet. Regardless, we'll keep you posted on Thompson's continued pursuit of and all the other entertainment 'scofflaws'.
