Whilst most pundits confidently expected to unveil their launch line-up at the event in Amsterdam, in the end neither the North American or the European line-up was fully published, with only 8 of the 15-20 titles promised confirmed. Robbie Bach did promise the "best launch line-up" ever, whilst stated that more than 200 games were in development, "many" being launch titles, however.

Project Gotham Racing 3, Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero, 06, NBA Live 06, PGA Tour 06, Most Wanted, and 06: Road to FIFA have so far been promised for day-one launches alongside the console itself. That's eight, though platform director David Reid did promise 15-20 games in total, when the line-up is finalised. Another 6 games will be made available for the system 'by the end' of the year, Reid assured GameSpot when probed on the 360's line-up.

GameSpot were told that the remaining 7-12 games comprising the launch line-up will be confirmed within the next few weeks by Microsoft, as Redmond work hard to certify games as fit for launch. It is interesting to note that only three first-party games are guaranteed at this stage, though the new Perfect Dark could do for the 360 what did for the Xbox, in theory.

Whilst X05 offered plenty of excitement on the new products front, there was little in the way of concrete dates and the like, though the following titles were confirmed as third-party titles that will appear on the Xbox 360 'first': Superman Returns: The Videogame, 2, Castle Wolfenstein, Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, MotoGP 2006: Ultimate Racing Technology, 4, and Quake 4. We'll keep you posted on all this intrigue, speculation and confusion.
