No Revolution for EA
Not yet, anyway...
If the latest comments from an EA representative are indicative of Nintendo's general position at present, then one must have to fear for the prospects of their forthcoming Revolution console. EA's VeePee of New Technology Kazuyuki Hashimoto informed attendees of a CESA development conference that he and his firm know nothing of the Revolution currently. During the speech, Hashimoto waxed lyrical at length about the specifics of both the PS3 and the Xbox 360 - only confessing his lack of knowledge concerning Nintendo's new beast when pressed.
Of course, Nintendo could be planning to wow both gamers and third-party publishers by unveiling their much-touted controller and specifics on their system, but the lack of information in key hands at this stage must surely be a concern. How are third-parties to be convinced into developing for the system unless they first know about it? Especially, with the Xbox 360 and PS3 now seemingly storming ahead in the next-generation war, leaving the Big N in their wake. We'll keep you posted on this.
