In news that can only just be considered 'gaming-related', we today learn that adventure book creators Malinche Entertainment have made several re-takes on the classic adventure novel formula; downloadable from the internet, to be read on compatible iPods. For those of you not old enough to remember this decidedly 80s craze, adventure books were basically traditional novels which you could choose the story to, with decisions you made reflecting the subsequent plot and choices at your disposal.

Several new 'books' have been made available from Malinche's official website, and each adventure story will cost $9.95 a pop. The novels can be read on iPods made since 2003 - excluding the screen-less 'Shuffle'. You can read your way through said adventures whilst listening to as well, and it certainly sounds like a mild diversion - if somewhat LoFi compared to the whizz-bang of a cutting-edge or handheld. More on such developments soon, regardless.
