Sony coy on Euro PSP launch
Fears of delay grow
Eurogamer.net were last week citing internal sources at Sony as stating that the Japanese firm's development teams have now been told that the European PSP debut is still 'months away', despite the fact that several of the launch games for the region are already complete. The PSP has been out in Japan since December and will launch in America on March 24th. A European release in March or April was previously hinted at and hoped for - but now Sony's silence on the topic speaks volumes.

Retailers are stating privately that they too have been offered little indication of a date or indeed a price, though much more than North America's $249.99 will surely cause uproar. Retailers now believe that the system may not be out until June at the earliest in Europe something of a blow for gamers eager to trial what Sony tout as the future of handheld gaming. The DS launched in Europe last week, and is now out in every major region.
