March is going to be a busy month. Not only are a bunch of eagerly anticipated games meant to appear then, but on March the 24th North Americans will finally be able to get their hands on the PSP. Released in almost two months ago and plagued by supply problems, gamers should be pleased to hear that Sony will have 1 million units ready for shipment on that date. Evidently they aren't expecting to sell as many PSPs as managed with the DS, which sold in similar numbers in its first week.

For $249.99 (299.99 Canadian) punters will receive a value pack. This contains an unprecedented added-value package of accessories and entertainment content, including a 32 MB Memory Stick Duo, headphones with remote control, battery pack, AC adaptor, soft case and cleaning cloth, movie/music/game video sampler UMD disc including multiple non-interactive game demos, and for the first one million PSP Value Packs shipped, a special UMD video release of the feature film Spider-Man(TM) 2 from Sony Pictures Entertainment. As of yet there's no word on any other packages or bundles.

Start saving those pennies now.
