Reports today indicate that neither the 2 nor the will be unveiled at the Game Developers Conference this March, as previously speculated (especially with regards to Microsoft's new machine). Instead, according to Reuters, the Xbox 2 will be on-show for the first time at E3 in May - the games industry's biggest annual soiree. Details are scant on the nature of the showing.

Meanwhile, C&VG are quoting a conference call, which apparently also indicates an E3 unveiling, at which the PS3 will actually be playable in some form - though whether this will include games or what, remains very much to be seen. We do expect something for the press ahead of the show, but perhaps not for some time yet. We'll keep you posted, of course.
