Ubi's Puzzle Pirates set sail
Rowing gently to stores in April
Burgeoning French publisher Ubisoft have today announced their latest signing, the unusually gentle massively multiplayer Puzzle Pirates, a multiplayer strategy-puzzle game created by Three Rings, which will be officially released in April. What's more, Ubisoft's strengthening of their MMOG portfolio is actually available to trial now, via the game's official site. Unusually for an MMOG, Puzzle Pirates is a deliberately laid-back, non-violent affair, in which players team-up to conquer the high seas, forging alliances, running shops and colonising islands - whilst solving some eleven brain-teasers en route to 'high-level' pirate intrigue. It all sounds rather nice, in a warm, 'breeze blowing in the palms' kind of way, and will cost a mere $19.99 at launch.
Puzzle Pirates comes complete with a reasonable one-months free play bundled, and subsequent months will cost $9.95. The full retail release promises extra items unavailable currently, as well as a singleplayer puzzle mode. If you think this will rock your boat (yohoho!), then check out the official site now.
