Increasingly-noteworthy publisher Majesco has acquired the rights to publish the first game from Planet Moon; the developer behind the brilliant but heart-breakingly over-looked Giants: Citizen Kabuto. Their PSP debut is titled Infected, and sees players assuming the role of Officer Stevens in the NYPD, dealing with an emerging crisis in the metropolis as the population is struck down by a mysterious virus. Using Stevens' blood, which is strangely immune to the virus, players will commence ridding the streets of the contagion.

As well as a bug-blasting singleplayer game - an unusual wireless mode is also mooted. As well as the usual deathmatch style firefights, said mode will also enable gamers to create their own viral avatar, which can attack enemy PSP's in a most interesting fashion. We'll keep you posted on that one. Last year, Planet Moon announced plans to focus on the PSP after several of their later efforts were a commercial flop, it is hoped that the cheaper costs coupled with the opportunities of the newly emerging format could give the studio a new lease of life. We wish them well.
