Another coded message appears on The Survivor 2299 Fallout 4 teaser site

Message points to the Institute's involvement

A new coded message has appeared on The Survivor 2299 site believed to be a teaser for Fallout 4.

The new coded message reads, “AK: {REV _____ 5120} [CPS] PASS {LOC BB YEAR LET} - | H EY XHWHD OF GXSIHS EVE, ZFR G'K ATGEVY ROCL'JM QEOX. GTJX ZSFF QRETYHA HWEUHG WG VKKP HHWE. MCCCZNU SQ UUE VMXECEDCZ. MFE BNMC NEGE QLZCR TP MZ MR YUOG ACBSM. | “

This has been translated by one dedicated Reddit user on the thread dedicated to The Survivor 2299 teaser site. Another coded message appears on The Survivor 2299 Fallout 4 teaser site

The translation comes out as, “I AM SORRY TO INFORM YOU, BUT I’M AFRAID THEY’RE DEAD. YOUR LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEM IS JUST FINE. WELCOME TO THE INSTITUTE. THE ONLY SAFE PLACE TO BE IN THIS WORLD.”

The Institute could refer to the mysterious group from Fallout 3 that was founded from the Massachsetts Institute of Technology (MIT) which could indicate that they will play a significant part in Fallout 4.

There has been a lot of speculation as to whether or not this is a hoax. Much of it revolves around the mistaken belief that there would be a Fallout 4 reveal at this year's VGAs (rebranded as VGX) tomorrow night.

The problem with that is that the countdown timer on the site is counting down to the 11th of December and not tomorrow which is the 7th of December. All Bethesda's Pete Hines has said on the matter is that they would not be appearing at the VGX ceremony which seems to fit with the countdown timer.

The domain of the site is registered to Zenimax, Betheda's parent company and so it is more likely that the site is not a hoax. The only way we'll find out for sure is to head over to the site on December the 11th. Hopefully it's true and we'll get our first look at Fallout 4.

Thanks VG247.
