During an interview with an film website, flick hero Vin Diesel shed a little light upon The Chronicles of Riddick from a gaming perspective. Whilst the film hardly set the world alight at cinemas, the officially licensed game, developed with Diesel's input, was very well received indeed - taking the by storm with its refreshing take on the genre. Now a version of the Riddick game is being created for the and possibly the too, and Diesel has already turned his attention to sequels stating that the original plotline could be continued through games and animation.

"There's a sequel to the videogame being made," Diesel let slip in the interview, though declined to comment on any specific details. Indeed, the silence coming from publisher Vivendi and developers Tigon and does suggest that the Hollywood star may have let the cat of the bag a tad early. When asked about the plotline further he commented: "That was the whole idea of having the other formats. That was the motivating force in Tigon creating the game Escape from Butcher Bay with Starbreeze, because it would give us the opportunity to explain the back stories of Riddick."

We'll keep you posted as we learn more on this.
