Knights 2 before Christmas Stateside
But nowhere else, hmph
Despite various internal reorganisations and product changes afoot at LucasArts, the developer-publisher has confirmed today that Knights of the Old Republic 2 is well underway still, and will be released on the Xbox this side of Christmas - though only in North America. The game was thought to be due in early 2005, and probably still is for Europe and other regions, though third-party developer Obsidian Entertainment appears to be ahead of schedule currently.
"We were hoping we could bring the Xbox platform into December but didn't want to make the formal announcement until we knew an earlier ship date would not compromise the quality of The Sith Lords," commented producer Mike Gallo. "We recently completed a very important milestone which confirmed we can confidently do this."
Elsewhere, the PC and Xbox versions may be out simultaneously in Europe come early 2005 - concurrent with the PC version's debut in America. We'll bring you more on this as we get it.
