In news that should have any and all 2000AD fans foaming at the mouth is the announcement from SCi that they have a Rogue Trooper game under with Studios. Planned for release on the and PS2, Rogue Trooper will feature a mix of intense 3rd person shooting combined with gameplay features. Apparently boasting complex line-of-sight mechanics, multiple game paths and full integrated use of Rogue's three onboard bio-chip buddies the Rogue Trooper game will excite all those gamers who have been waiting for him to make a reappearance on gaming systems since his 8-bit debut many years ago.

Scheduled for a release near the end of next year, gamers and fans of the character will be hoping that Rebellion does a better job of translating the comic book character to a game then they managed with their lacklustre Judge Dread vs. Death game from earlier on this year.
