EyeToy:Play rides again
Sequel planned for Christmas
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's London studio have been busy - it was revealed yesterday - busily working away on a second version of the ground-breaking EyeToy:Play, the software which first ushered in the innovative EyeToy gizmo.
Increased interactivity, improved technology and twelve new mini-games will be the order of the day in EyeToy:Play 2, SCEE's release reliably informs.
'All' parts of the body will be useful in the new games - the press release implies - mooting events with names like Kung2, DIY and Mr Chef as examples of further ingenuity. Up to four players will even be able to do battle in rapid succession in the new quick-fire mode, whilst the technology is now far more sensitive than before taking into account the power behind shots, and even the noises you make on occasion.
New mini-games Goal Attack and Home Run will even place the player within 3D environments, we're told, whilst the new SpyToy mode allows for no end of TV-based tricks and infiltration. Play 2 is out this winter in Europe, we'll bring you more soon.
