Despite no official word forthcoming from either current Burnout publisher or developer Criterion, word on the street has it that a version of Burnout is in development, with GameSpot quoting a senior source within the studio as stating "Yes, we are going to do it." Certainly, it seems likely that Burnout on the PSP will happen, given the ease with which titles can apparently be ported from the PS2, and the new handheld's older potential audience.

Currently, Burnout 3: Takedown is in for the and PS2, and will be the first in the popular series to boast gameplay. EA will publish this we're guessing, or possibly in early 2005, depending on how the mood takes them. More on the PSP edition as we get it.
