CD Projekt Red unveils their latest version of the RedEngine
The Polish studio behind The Witcher has announced the latest version of their in-house game engine.
The RedEngine 3 is powering CD Projekt Red's latest title, Cyberpunk 2077 and it is all set up to power projects for the next generation of home consoles and PC titles.
Studio head, Adam Badowski said on the new tech, "If we look at RPGs nowadays we find two approaches, one which emphasises the story but limits the game world and one that builds a vast open-world but hampers and simplifies the story."
CD Projekt Red has also promised a big reveal for February the 5th, an announcement that was hidden in their latest trailer for Cyberpunk 2077.
