Wing Commander creator returning after 10 years with Cloud Imperium
Chris Roberts, the man behind the epic space opera series Wing Commander is set to return to the games industry after a ten year break.
Roberts will be formally revealing his new game, Cloud Imperium on October the 10th with initial concept art showing it to be a futuristic sci-fi title of some persuasion.
He said in a statement on his Roberts Space Industries website, "I grew up making video games. I sold my first game at the age of 13 and created Wing Commander when I was 21. But ten years ago, at the height of my career I took a break. Not because I stopped loving or playing games but because I had become frustrated with the limits of the technology at the time to realize my vision."
Roberts continued, "With the power of todays computers and the reach of the internet I finally feel I have the tools to build the connected experience that I always dreamed of. A world that would be more satisfying and richer than any film I could work on."
