Epic opens up shop in Seattle to work on Unreal Engine 4
Carolina-based super developer Epic Games has announced that they are opening a studio on the other side of the country to work on their new game engine.
Epic Seattle's main focus will be developing the Unreal Engine 4 and is currently hiring for a variety of positions withing the new studio.
Dr Mike Capps, president of Epic said, "The proximity to key partners, the density of world-class talent and all the factors that make Seattle an attractive place to live convinced us that it is the perfect locale for Epic's West Coast operation. We are looking to hire even more of the best engineers around to contribute to Unreal Engine 4, which we believe is set to change the way we all make games."
Epic has already revealed their first Unreal Engine 4 powered title Fortnite which is destined to be a PC-only title for now.
