Resident Evil 6 to get its own online social service
Capcom has announced a new online social service that will launch alongside Resident Evil 6.
ResidentEvil.net will offer players comprehensive set of companion services for Resident Evil 6. The first main feature is comprehensive stat tracking including enemies killed, weapons used, medals earned and more.
It also offers social network integration allowing RE6 gamers to share their achievements on Facebook and Twitter and receive alerts when high scores are beaten. There will also be an app for iOS, Android and Windows Phone.
The final big feature of the service will be the ability to compete in regular organised events like joining other gamers to defeat a set number of enemies, competing for high scores on Mercenaries Mode and Champion Belt events which can only be held by one player at a time.
Resident Evil 6 launches on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October the 2nd and ResidentEvil.net will arrive at the same time.
