Epic buys People Can Fly outright
Epic Games has announced that they have taken full ownership of the Polish developer People Can Fly.
Epic Games took a controlling stake in back in 2007 and now they have shown full confidence in them by pushing their stake in the studio up to 100 percent. VP at Epic Mark Rein said, "We doubled down on People Can Fly. It was something we always hoped to do."
People Can Fly has an impressive history of titles including Painkiller in 2004 and their entertaining 2011 FPS Bulletstorm. Now have been given the honour of being the first external Epic studio to work on a full Gears Of War title in the shape of the prequel Gears Of War: Judgment.
Gears Of War: Judgment is due to be released on Xbox 360 in March of 2013.
