Dead Rising 3 falls foul of German ratings body
Dead Rising 3 has become the latest game to come a cropper at the hands of the German games rating body.
While the Xbox One will be released in Germany on November the 22nd, Dead Rising 3 will not as it has been denied an age rating due to it's unsurprisingly graphic content.
Microsoft released a statement on the matte saying, “Dead Rising 3 will not be released in Germany as part of the Xbox One launch line-up on Nov. 22 having been unable to attain an age-rating upon review by BPjM (Bundeprüfstelle für jugendgefährende Medien), the country’s entertainment software self-regulation body.”
“While Microsoft is disappointed with this decision," they added, "we respect the views of the review panel and have withdrawn Dead Rising 3 from Germany’s Xbox One launch line-up.”
German gamers will still be able to import Dead Rising 3 from other European countries on the November 22nd release slate in order to get a localised version of the game but they won't be able to walk into a retailer and pick it up off the shelf.
