Microsoft reveals their tablet gambit, the Surface
Microsoft has revealed their Surface series of tablets that they will hope can take on the iPad.
The Surface will come in the two flavours, the Surface RT which is powered by Nvidia-made ARM processors and will be available with wither 32GB or 64GB of storage space and the Surface Pro which will be powered by the Intel i5 processor and will be available with either 64GB or 128GB of storage.
Both models will sport a 10.6 inch HD touchscreen and a slide-out keyboard allowing it better functionality with Microsoft Office. The Surface RT will run the tablet-optimised Windows RT with the Surface Pro running the Windows 8.
Microsoft has not released any specific release date as yet but it is believed the Surface will arrive around September-time alongside the launch of Windows 8.
