Clearly hoping to steal a little limelight from the Playstation Experience underway on the other side of the city, have recently confirmed their involvement with the Game Stars Live show in Docklands this September, making the Japanese firm the first 'platform holder' to commit to such participation.

The consumer gaming event, which will be held at Excel, London, from September the 1st, is controversially in direct with and the PS Experience underway at Earl's Court in west London during the same week. It's little wonder Ninty have involved themselves with the break-away event, then.

David Yarnton, General Manager of Nintendo, commented that "Game Stars Live presents a major opportunity to get the greatest games in the world in front of gamers in the run up to the busiest period of the year." Nintendo will be joined at the show by the likes of Electronic Arts, Activision, Atari, Eidos, Nokia and Vivendi Universal. More on this soon.
