Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Vita version gets a US street date

Snake sneaking up on the US in mid-June

Konami has announced a North American release date for the PS Vita version of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.

The MGS HD Collection on the Vita is a cut down version of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions featuring only Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

To make up for the absence of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker both games do feature enhanced functionality that takes advantage of the Vita's unique touch control capabilities and the Transfarring system which allows players to transfer saved games between the PS3 and PS Vita versions if they own both.

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will be available on PlayStation Vita on June the 12th in North America simultaneously at retail and on the PlayStation Store.
