EverQuest is the next SOE MMO to go free-to-play
March will see a third SOE MMO go free
It appears that Sony Online Entertainment are taking to the free-to-play model for their MMOs in a big way as they have announced yet another of their big name titles is to make the switch.
EverQuest is set to join DC Universe Online and EverQuest 2 as a free-to-play MMO this March after almost 15 years as a subscription-based title.
There will be plenty of options for players to enjoy EverQuest the way they want to with additional content available on a recurring and non-recurring subscription basis.
DC Universe Online has already benefited greatly from making the switch to free-to-play, seeing a massive jump in player numbers and SOE are hoping that they can revitalise all their MMOs with similar treatment.
