Nintendo has confirmed some more features of the controller for the U and one of the most interesting ones is the inclusion of Near Field Communication technology.

The most well-known NFC system in the would be London's Oyster Card service which allows quick and easy payment for public transport around the city by simply touching the card on a pad.

NFC would certainly make topping up the wallet on the Wii U's store easier with pre-paid cards, support for additional items like Activision's Skylanders and may even allow the to communicate with certain mobile phones.

With bringing the finished article to E3 in June they will be sure to show off all the potential that the Wii U has to get gamers excited about the worldwide release towards the end of the year.

Thanks MCV.
