THQ has confirmed that they are ditching all the kids licenses that they have been churning out for the last few years.

Over the years has contributed titles licensed from kids series like Spongebob Squarepants and a myriad of and Dreamworks including several Cars and Kung Fu Panda games presenting a curiously diverse portfolio alongside the likes of Saints Row.

Now, with the excellent success they have scored with Saints Row: The Third(3.8 million copies sold so far) THQ has decided to make the strategic switch to focus on their core titles which includes Itagaki's The Devil's Third and Volition's Guillermo Del Toro collaboration Insane.

CEO and president of THQ, Brian Farrell said: "THQ will be a more streamlined organization focused only on our strongest franchises. The success of Saints Row: The Third is an example of what our revised and focus can achieve. We have now shipped 3.8m units globally and are currently expecting to ship between 5m-6m units lifetime on this title. Additionally, our robust content offerings for this game have resulted in the highest digital revenue of any console title in our history."

Thanks MCV.
