Former Rockstar North man appointed creative chief at Jagex
Jagex ramps up their ambitions
Runescape developer Jagex has signed up Alex Horton, former art and animation director at Rockstar North to be their chief creative officer.
Horton worked on 20 titles while at Rockstar including every Grand Theft Auto IV and Max Payne 2 before moving on to be assistant motion capture director at EA.
Jagex is hoping that Horton's extensive experience with triple-A titles will help the online gaming studio take their titles to the next level.
Mark Gerhard, Jagex CEO said: "It gives me great pleasure to welcome Alex to the Jagex family. Alex will be working across the studios with our game design, development and creative teams to ensure all of our games achieve their true mass market potential. I know him to be hard working, passionate, driven and straight talking a perfect match for Jagex DNA."
