GSC Game World seeking funding to finish Stalker 2
Ukrainian developer GSC Game World is continuing to operate while it seeks the funding to finish its current game Stalker 2.
It emerged before Christmas that the studio was in trouble and may be on the verge of closure due to a lack of funding.
The studio has now confirmed that they are still around although they will require more funding in order to finish Stalker 2. Spokesman, Oleg Yavorsky said: "We are still in the process of seeking funding to back up the project. We are hopeful things turn out well eventually. The team really wants to see Stalker continue."
Unverified reports suggest that Sergei Grigorovich the CEO of GSC game World had left the company telling staff without explanation that the studio would close.
Hopefully they will secure the funding they need to keep the superb Stalker series alive.
