Activision lawsuit against EA, Jason West and Vince Zampella to proceed
The Los Angeles Superior Court has ruled that the lawsuit filed against EA and Jason West and Vince Zampella by Activision can go ahead.
Judge Elihu Berle dismissed counter-motions from EA and the former bosses of Infinity Ward seeking summary judgements and ruled that Activision's 400 million USD lawsuit can proceed.
The lawsuit alleges that Jason West and Vince Zampella were in breach of their contracts and duty of loyalty to Activision while they were in charge of Infinity Ward, the studio they founded after leaving EA LA. It also alleges that EA assisted West and Zampella in their breaches of contract.
The lawsuit is finally scheduled to proceed on May the 7th, 2012.
